On September 15 there will be a kick-off event in Dag Hammarskjold Plaza for the Sudan Freedom Walk\, a wallk by Simon Deng of Southern Sudan (and New York) and Dr. Abdelgabar Adam of Darfur (and Philadelphia) calling for an end to government-sponsored ethnic violence in Sudan. Simon and Abdelgabar will be walking from New York to Washington DC beginning their walk in New York on Wednesday September 15 at noon and finishing on October 7 on Capital Hill.
